Join us for the Hmong Wausau Festival, the premier Hmong cultural event in Central Wisconsin, proudly presented by the Hmong American Center, Inc. and in partnership with the Central Wisconsin Convention & Visitor Bureau. This vibrant festival celebrates the rich traditions of the Hmong community through a showcase of sports, music, and arts.
Engage in thrilling competitions and witness the talents of the community in flag football, volleyball, soccer, and more. Experience the cultural pageantry of singing, dancing, and the Mr. Hmong Royalty Talent Pageant. Savor the flavors and crafts as food and merchandise vendors from across the nation converge in Wausau to offer their unique products.
Since its inaugural event, the festival has attracted roughly 14,000 attendees from throughout the Midwest, significantly boosting the local economy with a $1.03 million impact. With 50,000 Hmong residents in Wisconsin and over 7,000 in Marathon County alone, making up about 12% of Wausau’s population, this festival is a key highlight in the cultural calendar.
